Diet plans have all stalled. After years of low carb, high protein, low fat, counting calories, carbs, fats or points it turns out they are all the same. Three major studies released earlier this year show that by 6 months, almost all dieters have returned to the foods they like--you simply cannot expect people to eat foods they don't like, have trouble making, are too expensive or hard to get for more than a few months at the most. Counting anything is no better. What the world does not need is another "diet plan" requiring the dieter to give up a certain food, or weigh, measure or count anything. We have all seen enough failed plans and should know that they don't work. People trying to lose weight are caught up in information overload. They are literally paralyzed because there is so much "noise" out there. No one knows how to get started. When they find a new plan, they try it, only to fail and regain the weight.
How should the average person solve the problem?
The answer is simpler than you think. Read the most recent reports from the best experts in the field. I have referred to three extensive, long term weight loss studies, two from this country and one from Israel. The most important one was from the Harvard-Pennington Group reported in the January 26, 2009 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine. The authors found no difference in weight loss in people following any of the 3 diet plans: low fat, low carb or low calorie. No only was there no difference in weight loss among all of the dieters, almost the identical weight loss results were found in all three studies--quite amazing since they were done worlds apart by very different methods. Successful Dieters Find Their Own Plan Recognize Your Mistakes:
The "secret" is for every one struggling to lose weight, to find out what are his most significant, easiest to change mistakes, and just like all of the participants in these studies, make a few better choices from all of the usual foods. The 100 Calorie Secret can help you find your secrets, prevent hunger and show you the direction to better choices from foods and beverages that surround you all day. Sound simple? It is. |
